Mid-Year Conference 2008

CIRIN arranged to hold a mid-year Managers' Conference at a serene location in Murree from July 22 to July 23. Zonal Sales Managers and Regional Mangers from all across Pakistan came to participate in this two day long event.

The conference itself was preceded by strategic planning sessions – conducted at Head Office, with Product Managers and Zonal Sales Manager. Khwaja Abdul Basir, Sales Director, presided over the sessions and was assisted by Mr. Mushtaq Anjum, Senior Product Manager. Performance of different zones was critically reviewed and strategies were discussed to boost performance par excellence.

Participants moved to Murree the same evening for the mid-year Conference.

On the first day Product Managers made detailed presentations on performance of CIRIN’s products viz-a-viz competing products.

Mr. Muhammad Farooq (MWH) Injured in Road Accident

Mr. Muhammad Farooq (Manager Warehouse) and three other members of CIRIN got injured in a road accident while coming back from plant. His vehicle collided with fully loaden truck resulting in injuries to the driver, and Mr. Farooq while other occupants of vehicle got away with minor injuries.

A large number of CIRIN staff members alongwith directors of the company gathered in PIMS after the accident and stayed till injureds were treated and discharged.
Mr. Farooq is (Alhamdolilah) stable but has multiple fractures in both legs. He is a brave man and has showed remarkable courage in facing this difficult time.

All members of TeamCIRIN and friends are requested to pray for his speedy recovery to full health. We want to see him back with us - as soon as possible.

CIRIN Finishes 2007-08 on High Notes:

CIRIN finishes financial year 2007-08 with 45% growth over last year in sales revenue. This growth rate is up from 23% registered in 2006-07 and 13% in 2005-06.
IMS places CIRIN in third group (based on turnover) of top tier (based on sustained growth rate) pharmaceutical firms operating in Pakistan. Management is hopeful of shifting to second group in top tier by the end of 2009 (i.e. amongst companies with turnover between Rs. 500Million - Rs. 1Biliion).
