CIRIN Gets ISO9001: 2000 Certification for 2nd Term

It has been now 3 years since CIRIN was certified under ISO9001: 2000 back in 2004. The second certification audit was due in the month of January, 2008. This audit was conducted by a team of sernior auditors from SGS, consisting of Mr. Waqas Ali (Lead Auditor), Mr. Waseem Asif, and Mr. Nadeem Anwar.

The management is pleased to confirm that CIRIN was recommended for re-certification by the auditors upon successful completion of audit. The auditors in their closing meeting expressed their satisfaction on the adequacy of Quality Management System of the company as well as the implementation level. Mr. Nadeem stated that he had recently audited a few pharmaceutical units abroad, and he found CIRIN’s system at par with plants operating in advanced countries.

Mr. Ashraf Malik (Management Representative) of CIRIN thanked the auditors for their valuable feedback and praised his entire team for achieving such level of conformance that there was not a single non-conformance found throughout the audit activity.

Successful 5th Surveillance Audit:

Quality Management System of CIRIN was recently audited by SGS for the fifth time in three years. This surveillance audit was focused on Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and Procurement Departments. Mr. Ashraf Malik, Plant Manager and Management Representative, remained actively involved in the entire process.

In the closing meeting the Mr. Waqas Ali, auditor from SGS, praised team members of CIRIN and told participants that he was impressed with the commitment and awareness level of individuals in various departments. He specifically mentioned the importance of team-play as against one-man-show, and mentioned that it seemed to be hallmark of CIRIN. He declared his audit activity successful and recommended continuation of ISO9001 certification of CIRIN Pharmaceuticals.
